Hallucinations
While sitting upon the common cloud,
Birds began to scream at me.
I was minding my own business
But they would not stop pecking, those vile things!
So I drifted down from the cloud,
On a magic carpet of yellow and blue feelings.
I landed in a yellow submarine where
Strawberries went to play the violin and be green.
I had so many questions for them, just so many.
But I was too busy indulging in colors,
Because there were plenty.
I hallucinate in purple dreams of toxins.
Where shadows come alive and attack
Those who step on them.
They will puncture your soul, deflate it,
Make it old.
They aren’t your average shadows,
They are wise and their hearts cold.
