Missing You
Try and tell me how I should be
But even I can’t see
Blinded by wants and hopes of yesterday
We try and hold on
While the world waits for us to fall.
Try and tell me how I should feel
When even I am numb
To the intoxication you once fed me
Covered my body
With you.
You being everywhere,
In my head at all times,
Yet I am blinded by the urgency of tomorrow
And just another day is a millenium
From you.
As much as I crave this drug
Pulsing through my chest
It hurts to want you so.
And so
As the skies drape the day away
You and your magic
Fade
As my mind rebells
And I will tuck you away.
Safe and sound,
Where I will always find you.
Try and tell me where I should be,
I wish I could be next to you.
