I sit alone on rooftops,
Laughing at my pitiful dreams,
Dreams where I'm not alone,
When I look up at the sky,
And see an endless march
Of brilliant lights,
Dreams where I lay on
Ruffled sheets
Whispering lullabies
Dreams where I hold her crying head in my arms,
Where I can see the infinite vista of heaven,
Reflected in her eyes.
Dreams...
And for now,
I sit on this rooftop alone,
Laughing at my pitiful dreams.

Haha, that is very odd. Most of my pieces are fiction, however this one is of the few that are true to real life. This is the post-breakup after a longtime relationship and that longing for her back.

I read this as a fiction article, and not a poem. But I have explained to you why this is so. There is nothing wrong with this, and it is very well written.
