NeRds
Clutching my books tight
Walking fast and straight
Not looking back
Never gonna be late
The teachers love me
The students tease me
I try to ignore them
But it gets to me sometime
My brains are as large as my glasses
My braces brand new, it hurts to smile
In this grandma skirt, and these hippie shoes
I could probably walk about a mile
Can’t play sports if my life depended on it
The only F I have is in gym class
I’ve won every reading and math contest
But still, a basketball I can’t seem to pass
When I’m in class I’m alert and happy
But on field I can’t look alive
They want me to be good at everything
Even though my GPA is 4.5
So this is my life story
All clamped up in my homework paper
So I don’t know if you heard
But I am a big nerd.
