All That's Left
Looking back to our timeless faces
Wondering what could’ve been
I can see the possibilities
Every time you look at me
My love for you will never fade
No matter how lifeless and jaded
The memories have become
I cried for the first time in a long time
Tears I shed for love
I found a note that was passed to me
From a friend, no doubt came from you
Our very first love note, no matter how small
I didn’t care about the beginning or even the core
My words were caught in my throat
as I read the original “P.S. I Love You”
Although I meant to write back,
I could never find the right words
to express myself like you did
to tell of my love
and convey my feelings into words
In my heart, you already knew
But here it goes anyway, P.S. I Love You
