Favorite Quote:
Let the beauty of what you love be what you do<br /> ~Rumi

You may have lost a loved one, dear,
but I assure you it is not the end.
In your heart, I am sure you know,
that he is still your friend.

You spent a lot of time together;
I watched him help you grow,
but sometimes bad things happen to good people.
As we often know.

As cancer stole his life from us,
slowly, he faded away.
Our hearts remain true to him, however,
to this very day.

Whenever you feel that hope is lost,
promise me that you will remember this:
For when the wilting rose has only one petal left,
it smells just as beautiful as all the rest.

I wrote this piece in 10 minutes actually. I was sitting here, at my computer, thinking about my grandfather and I decided I would write a poem for him. I'm sorry if it's not very good, but I'm sure my grandpa would love it and that's what matters to me. The very last two lines of the poem, I use a lot in my work. It's my quote; I made it up entirely by myself and I used to say it to my grandpa a lot. It means something special to me on a deeper level besides just what you read though. Anyways, I hope y'all like the poem!
