Maybe it was just a bet.
Just a lie.
Maybe it was a simple game, meant to make you cry.
Perhaps we were just an illusion, a way to impress my friends.
Yet
Maybe
just maybe
we can make amends.
Perhaps I really did like you.
Like you a lot.
Now it’s just too late I suppose, to turn a wrong into a right.
Make you see that I really did enjoy your stories, and those late nights talking.
I actually did not tell my friends about that kiss in your car.
Yet now all I have are these broken memories, that only a loser like you could fix.
Maybe it was just a bet to them, but to me it was as real as you thought it was.
