Floating through the song water
it captivates my mind
I can see in my mind’s eye,
every aspect,
every piece of the composition
separated into itself
and perfect in its
togetherness
I glide past notes, sounds,
experiences
make themselves known in my mind
each new beat, each new noise
reminds me of something
I don’t know what it is,
because I’ve only lived it in
a dream
it’s a whole different world,
a planet of my very own
to explore and conquer
or just observe
I can do as I please,
no rules to change my behavior
into something better
because there is no better
I am better than the best
I own this world,
I created it
the music that winds itself around my body
and entwines with my brain
is merely my inspiration,
fascinating, it sets my imagination
ablaze
liquid, like mercury,
fluid, yet invisible,
but I can see it anyway
impossible to touch,
like fire,
even though it invades every pore
of my being
like air
a complicated, organized chaos,
of beautiful ideas
and they leave my mind
enraptured
