Father's Day
Today’s the day
That’s all about you
But you’re far away
What’s a daughter to do?
I could sit in the corner
And cry my eyes out
Or I could mope around
And constantly pout
I could wish you were here
And dream as if you were beside me
Or I could look at your picture
And stir up all the sad feelings inside me
I could runaway in sadness
And forget about the world around
Or I could sit outside
And look up sadly at the clouds
I could write you a letter
And mail it to you with a balloon
Or I could call your name balling tears
And look like a buffoon
I could be mad at everyone
And nothing would make me happy
But I’d much rather look at you face-to-face
And tell you, “Happy Father’s Day, Daddy”
