Light of Energy
Pure energy I am
A glowing body of heat
Bright and alive I shine.
Flickering shadows dance along the walls
As the energy released becomes light.
Changing shape constantly
Never am I still.
Red, orange, yellow, blue
The energetic colors of my being.
As my fuel is burnt
I slowly die down.
Finally, a small blue spark
Floating in a sea of melted wax
A last burst of heat
Then I wink out and die.
A small wisp of smoke
Is all that is left
Of my flame.
