four oclock
One day
was all it took
for me
to want to run
and four o'clock
this rainy morning
I finally wake up
from the nap i never took.
Four o'clock,
in the pouring rain
to hide my streaming tears.
Hair wet,
and i cannot feel
the numbness i once did
Four o'clock
and i miss
being able to fall asleep
and hide my bitter pain.
Four o'clock
and i feel worse
than i did at one.
