La Luna
It has sheen of glowing light between sunset
And hovers above me until its final showing at sunrise
Though the sky is dark and frozen in time
In sharp contrast the figure is never in consecutive mime
The symbol is unbiased and fair
It exists with no corruption, allows all to share
What I see on a rural hill
Is identical in sight from my city windowsill
And although you can gaze anywhere, free crescent or sphere
Never feels like enough hours, to see the phase from here
Beauty from the predictable, but I do not mind
It has a cycle, an exquisite treasure to find
One day when you are lonely, step outside
Awed by its glory, all your secrets you will confide
If even still you are consumed with lies
Seek the lustrous illumination and do not dare close your eyes
