I suddenly realized
Death was real
It could have happened to me
But it happened to you.
I suddenly realized
We were all so blind
Taking for granted
That we still had time.
I saw you
Just the day before
You were happy and smiling
Sitting in class
I can’t believe
That day was your last.
I suddenly realized
You were never coming back
I couldn’t believe
Something could happen that fast
Your life was over
And the facts still remain
I barely knew you
But I’ll never forget your name. RIP
