Bye Falling Leaf
The final leaf of the season
You lasted this long, congratulations.
Now I set you free to follow the wind.
Choose your own path soon,
Don’t be hasty though like the other leaves.
Though they thought they were ready,
They just fell
To the cold ground,
like driveways and molding swirly slides.
I think you’re ready for it,
But only you will know.
Bye falling leaf.
Don’t disappoint me.
Love, Mother Oak.
