Coldness and a Hot Sun
Morning, I sit in my room,
At the crack of dawn,
waiting,
Watching the slivers of light streak across the floor,
Casting brightness upon
the once unbearably dark room,
The light, the optimism in which it holds,
Spreads upon me, trying to consume me,
Unfortunately, I lay reluctatant,
hesitant,
To free myself to take in,
what could save me,
what can dirive me from my self pity,
my consumption of what tears me to pieces,
the shattered remains of what was once an ambition,a desire.
I lay stubburn to release the past,
Thus ignoring the future.
I am engulfed in what could of been.
the darkness will never leave me,
For it is embedded
To never depart,
despite the rise of a warm-sun,
a cold heart remains within.
