Contemplation
Walking the streets feeling the gravel
Beneath my feet, I start to wonder
All the possibilities of why the world
Is made up of bricks and concrete
The desire for anything new and improved
Or could it be, bigger is always better
The world we live in, is becoming artificial
In the end, is this what we truly crave
The destruction of the natural world
The recreation of our daily life
Was the Earth meant to be molded
By our insignificant human hands
Maybe it is us destroying what is pure
Not caring of the consequences
Only the present matters in todays world
No thoughts of the future nor the past
Our environment holds the pain and hope
The idea of improving the world
Though you hurt it through and through
Everything near and dear reflects our race
