Morning Dew
My body sways,
Like a star magnolia in spring
Flourishing ivory petals.
The smell of sunrise fills my lungs,
The dew settles between my bare toes
As I dance to the morning doves song
I close my eyes
And whirl around
Arms out stretched
Pivoting on the balls of my feet.
Contemporary sounds
Are muted
And nature floods my soul
And I embrace it welcomingly
I dance to the smell of morning
And to the sound of sunrise
Until time concludes
