Night on the City

The flash of lights,
A siren or two,
I can’t catch my breath,
Keepin’ up with you.
A thunderous city,
Of sights and sounds,
The heartless people,
And vicious hounds.
We move through seedy alleys,
Never straying our gazes,
A dance with the devil,
Through the city it blazed.
The music is jumpin’
And we’re keepin’ in time,
The heat of our skin,
Such a lovely crime.
A flash of lights,
A siren or two,
And I can’t catch my breath,
Keepin’ up with you.
