Quietus
Release from life will forever be
a solemn mystery to you and me
Until our hour of solace comes
the thought of death so keenly numbs
Will our souls beyond the grave
be thrust below or to heaven gave?
Or perhap there is no heav'n at all
and to thearth is our call
But whatever our quietus may be
I hope to spend my death with thee.
