The Place
There is a place
Maybe only existing in my mind
That is perfect for me
A farmhouse
A barn
A porch swing painted white
So many acres you could
get lost
A huge barn!
Filled with
horses
or maybe just two
An orchard with plenty of climbing trees
For me to sit in
And read
Or just contemplate the world
There would be a clean, clear pond
Somewhere
and also a river
There would be a music studio
somewhere in the woods (because there is also a forest)
filled with instruments, old and new
There would be small hidden meadows
with tall grass to lie in
and a little cottage for guests
There would be tiny endless foot-trails
and random, hidden and overgrown gardens
I would have a separate studio just
for all of my books, a reading room
This place would have plenty of sleeping space
for all of my friends to come,
And yet, it would be set away
from too many intruding and unnatural noises
That would be my ideal learning space
