Tell me you love me
You say you can’t
I beg
You refuse
I wanted you to love me
But you didn’t
He says he’d rather be alone than pretend
Please
No
He says I have to let go
Would you if you were me?
Just lie
You say you can’t
You just aren’t that way
Put your hand on my arm
I scream
Get away
I run for the door
You yell that you’re sorry
Sorry
As if that will chase the pain from my body
Sorry
As if that will cure my longing
Sorry
As if one little word will make this right
