Lifegaurd
Sorry?
You weren't sorry,
You were never there for me,
I remember crying my eyes to sleep,
my tears were water from the sea,
who swooshed me up,
and took me under,
under and beneath,
I would lie awake,
every night,
or stay awake,
hoping my dreams might take me away,
I would always toss and turn,
with the waves of the ocean,
I would try to pause,
try to stop,
my life was always in motion,
the waters were always moving,
I would scream for a life ring,
for something, for somebody,
but another wave would crash,
I go under,
but I can't swim,
I must save myself,
I must be the lifeguard,
of my life.
...
because you were never there for me.
