You and I have walked hand in hand
Through all the crowds
I have traveled through in this life
Through all the times where i have felt alone
I thought you?d always be there for me
Whenever I would need you
Whenever I had to lean on someone
When I couldn?t bear the burden of wearing masks
The burden of standards
But as I watch you
Let go of my hand and walk away
From everything that we had
Everything that could have been
You left me
Isolated
In this sea of dolls
This crowd of solitude
Where being alone is a rule
And no one can rely on another
What can I do
But sit and weep
While I try to call you back to me
And all I get is a slap in the face
As I see you not even hesitate
To stop or turn around
For one more supportive look
Or a hand to help me up
From the puddle of tears
I have formed
What do I see?
Nothing
Because nothing is what I got
In the end
No sense of security
Only false hope
To leave me
Slowly dying
In my own puddle of tears
