Spare Change
We the people with money
In order to form a nation better for us
Have set forth a standard of rules
That please only the writers, but benefit America
We the Greedy pledge allegiance
To the needs of the people
Of the united states of politicians
In which money is life, and life is power
Four score and a few memories ago
Our frugal founding fathers set forth a nation
For the wealthy to destroy and overrun
Democracy to disguise the evil face of gluttony
For the people, by the people
But controlled by the paper faces of presidents
That exists in the budgets of our nation
But not in the pockets of average Joe
The right to life, liberty
And the pursuit of affluence
Is all that really matters in the end
To the selected insatiable rulers with the only real power
All men are created equal
But only if the politicians give the okay
Equality before the law coming
With the price tag of a thousand dollar lawyer
What do Americans want?
Change
But only if it's change for a million
In the form of nickels and dimes

I totally agree with this poem. Loved how you made the Pledge of Alligence and Preable a little different. I loved the message of the poem too.
I think if I might have done something with the Star Spangled Banner too.
"Oh say can you see?
By the fading light
What so proudly we hailed
When the world was once right
Ok that accidentally rhymed so that wasn't supposed to happen but you get the point
Thanks! I agree with you completely. We need more people to think like you. That's why I wrote this poem. Thank you again!
