Lost Joy
The cold metallic taste
From the smooth rounded metal
The last thing tasted in her sorrow
Through the light darkness spreads
Lying in a pool of life
Finally free of the strain
Given by that “Joy” within
Unwanted in a broken home
More then one life was lost
Without the knowledge of her love
Away she slips into night,
Never to be seen again
Her treasured home torn apart
After that one thoughtless night
Walking through the park alone
Thoughtless of danger in that moment
That “Joy” within should bring a life
Took two away just last night
