Made of Stone, Yet So Alive
Frozen in action
In the cold night
These soldiers trudged without fright
The occasional glimpse at the courage
In the faces of the soldiers
When the clouds stop shrouding the moon
The statues come alive
Depicting a war scene
A soldier covered in mud
Surrounded by enemies
Showing no fear
He chucks a grenade and the loud echo of the boom
Is heard throughout the country
Bayonetted through the chest he was then laid to rest
On the moist ground
To rot
Never to see his family again
The clouds covered the moon again
Darkness
The scene was over
