Hades
Another day has come and went
How many lives have today been spent?
The constant wailing, moaning and cries
If I could kill them! Oh! How I try!
Migraines and suffering, the chaos they cause,
The souls, how they drift, the Furies, they caw…
Cerberes barks; a special visitor is here,
This one should I accept?
Or force them to tremble with fear?
The Fields of Punishment? I’m overbooked,
But no new punishment should go overlooked…
Asphodel it is, it’s Penelope I’m told,
And she suffered enough until death rang her toll.
Another sob story, no special treatment here,
You better believe that I’m NOT all ears.
She can spend all her time waiting for her prince,
But Odysseus? Really? She’ll never see him since
He’s run off to the Fountain of youth again once more,
To escape what he’s done to the maids hovering off the floor
