Blue Goodbye

Sadness serenading
swelling in sorrow
tears of despair
falling down my cheeks
a word of prayer
a silent goodbye
my heart sinks
sailing southern slowly
no longer lively eyes
looking back at me
memories rushing forth
my heart aches
Like a statue
unchanging in expression
frozen in place
six feet under
the same yet different
VOID of life.
