The Un-Fight
Concern is all I mean to show
But you lash out thinking it something else
I try to regroup, try to recover,
But you throw me away like an old toy
You have shiny new ones to play with
You don't need me anymore
B****, s***, w****,
These are not the things that I think you are
But you twist my thoughts
You put words in my mouth
Until no one can trust me
I can't trust myself
I hide you and your words
And the pain that your nonchalance brings
I stay alone in the dark, hurting myself
To keep from hurting you
I think this is what a good friend would do
But you do not care a bit
You continue to play with your shiny new toys
But I am not that worried
For when you grow tired of them
I know you will come back to me
As you always have before
And expect me to pick up the pieces again
