Bottom of the Pretzel Bag MAG
You can’t write a poem
about the salt at the bottom of the pretzel bag.
It would get shoved
in the corner and
no one would notice it.
Kids would dump it all
over the kitchen table
and moms across the country
would discard it.
You can’t write a poem
about the salt at the bottom of the pretzel bag.
There would be too many crumbs.
Most people
wouldn’t like the taste,
and it would repulse them
to even try reading
a handful.
You can’t write a poem
about the salt at the bottom of the pretzel bag.
The reader would spill it all over the carpet
and your poem would get vacuumed up.
