The Jungle Cat
The jungle cat prowls
in the deepest night.
All he needs to see
is a point of light.
He stalks until he finds
what he is looking for:
an orange, plastic bowl
sitting by the front door.
He eats his fill; then
returns to his mat.
He’s no fearsome beast.
He’s a small house cat.
