Gazing out my window
Waves beating in my ear

Gulls swooping, screaming, crying
The only sound I hear

My solitary slumber
I’m free from all my fears

Away from all the world
The ocean and its tears

So elegant, yet graceful
So calm, and oh so numb

The deep sea is my refuge
Bliss beckons me to come
