"People are like slinky. They don't do much, but they are fun to push down the stairs" -Unknown

I remember things as they were –
Instant, spontaneous, beautiful,
And things as they are –
Silent, unresponsive, and gone…
I remember the times when I loved;
And lost,
When I lived,
And learned—
I found many reasons to change;
And I know why –
Because among the rubble of this broken friendship,
New life will spring up—
If the rocks of others don’t get in its way…

The author's comments:
I was inspired to write this piece when I was having friend problems. We all have problems with our friends sometimes, and while other people kick something or scream, I wrote this.

"People believe that if we really want to eliminate something, focus on that. How much sense does it make for us to give the particular problem all of the energy, as opposed to focusing on trust, love, living in abundance, education, or peace? -Un.

This poem is easy to relate to, because you're right -- we all have problems with our friends sometimes. I love your describing words: ex: instant, unresponsive

This is great! Another masterpiece by the great "Hannahbelle" :)
