For Repunzel...
Locked away by day,
and still by night
Kept from people away
hidden far from sight
She secretly longs for her shackles to be loose
They say its because they care...
She lives the life of a recluse
...She longs for a breath of fresh air...
always silently longing for freedom in her own way
she longs to be free from the yoke
yet not brave enough to stray...
Shes wrapped in bondage like a dark cloak
...afraid to disobey.
Sometimes scared till her face turns ashen
from being reprimanded
...she has never felt love or passion
Things are not asked of her but demanded.
...she feels stranded.
Feeling locked in a tower...lost
and at the same time, always in the same place
...feeling like escaping, yet weighing the cost
wanting it all erased...
