What a Mess
They don't really see her
The woman beyond the veil
They won't ever see her
The girl who seems so frail
They only know whats on the surface
They only see what she shows
If she speaks about less
She'll add to her woes
She has to be smart
Has to be the best
So the world won't see her faults
So the world won't see her mess
She has to careful
Has to be afraid
No matter how life is dull
Won't let them think "What a mess she's made!"
There always seems to be
A fragment under wraps
A piece left unseen
She always wears that mask
Miracle upon miracle, is she to be set free?
Miracle upon miracle, what shall happen now?
Did he remove the mask, and see who she should be?
Did she fall in love, oh, how?
She has to be smart
Has to be the best
So the world won't see her faults
So the world won't see her mess
She has to careful
Has to be afraid
No matter how life is dull
Won't let him think "What a mess she's made!"
But today, the veil falls
But today, she is herself
But today, her heart calls
But today, there is someone else
Oh, what a mess she's made...
