I Onced Loved an Angel
I was once in love with an angel
Her eyes carved from emeralds
Hair woven from silk
The epitome of beauty
Rested upon her shoulders
After you’ve seen her smile
Everything else looks dull and grey
Her voice was ecstasy to my ears
Her laugh made me drunk with excitement
She showed me what if felt like to be in love
And almost, what it felt like to be loved
But I was only a doubt in the heart of an angel
Wishing I could be more than a second guess
She threw my love back at my face
Neglected my soul and left me alone
I only wish I had the chance
To tell her how bad she truly hurt me
This pain is far worse than any before
All because I cant love an angel anymore
