Goodbye
one fine morning a couple of weeks back
I threw away at least 2000 pieces of paper
several folded-cardstock cartons
empty eyeliners (most still usable)
a bamboo plant that ended up dying
a silver rope strung with 25 cent rings
the promise of stomach contents
the illusion of sitting shiva for you
forks and spoons (I didn’t want to take them all the way downstairs)
and most of the rest of my belongings, as usual.
I wanted you to come over
to
vacuum
