My Child, I have nothing left to spare.
Your hungry, cold as stone, your shoes are too small.
I have nnot a dime to give.
Mommy, my bones ache.
My child, your eyes wide, white, and pleading.
We sit behind closed locked doors.
Our half naked bodies trembling.
The tears on your clouded cheeks fall.
For i my child will battle this.
Mommy, when will the angels come?
Through my bloodshot eyes
I will seek the voice within me
My child, once we're set free
Step upon the delicate grass with your bruised feet.
Oh! my child, I'll fight this
We'll fight this!
My child
Oh my child
