Refuse to Turn Away
At a glance you might say she’s ugly.
Look away, because you’ll never see her again.
Each day she takes those looks.
Weights to wear on her back.
Another look. Another pound.
It’s getting too heavy to bear.
She falls, clutching at those invisible forces,
pushing her down, dragging her to the ground.
Although some turn away,
she will always have those who love her.
If only she knew this one important fact,
Before she ended her miseries.
