Ode To My Parakeet

A happy looking green bird
With a delightful high pitched tweet
Masks the cruel being that is my parakeet
Who has a taste for human flesh and likes to draw blood
My blood
If only I had a friendlier bird
But I know his secret
My bird likes water
So I bought a bird bath tub
With a mirror in the bottom
And now my bird doesn’t draw blood any more
Much.
