Ode to my Unfinished Dreams
More often then I'd like
to admit to those who still
hold tightly to my previous image
of stability and sense,
I have once or twice
fallen victim to
the ideology that
when waking from an interrupted doze
it is within my control
to just shut my eyes again
and pick up right were I left off
just as if reality
hadn't ever obstructed
the perfection of
this evening hallucination.
