It is morning and you're stirring and I'm
Running
Through the sunrise, and the mountains
And the hope that this deep silent evening will
Swell again
Breathe again
Rise up again, just to
eat you alive or
asleep
Or take you over and take you
Down.

And I'm moving through this
Silence
but it passes me by and it only reaches
You
And you're gone
and you're moving,
you're everything
Breathing and writhing and shivering
Inside of me
Taking me over
And taking me down
As I am still
and I am gone
And I am still gone, somewhere
Deep inside of you

And it scares me
to stand here
When time slows down to a crawl
And it drags on its knees
And I'm falling on my knees and I am
Doing backflips underwater
And you've already woken, I can almost no longer
Remember
The way that it feels to wake up wide awake.

And tired, and I'm running and I'm
Fading, I am
Fed up
With this city
And the way that it will not stop
Breaking my heart.

Don't make someone a priority, when they only make you an option.

When I was a young man, I wanted to change the world. I found it was difficult to change the world, so I tried to change my nation. When I found I couldn't change the nation, I began to focus on my town. I couldn't change the town and as an older man, I tried to change my family. Now, as an old man, I realize the only thing I can change is myself, and suddenly I realize that if long ago I had changed myself, I could have made an impact on my family. My family and I could have made an impact on our town. Their impact could have changed the nation and I could indeed have changed the world."
