I Watched
I watched her see him for the first time
I watched her shake her head and try to forget him
I watched her day dream about him in class
I watched her imagine what their life could be together
and I watched him watch her watching
I watched her jaw drop
I watched him smile at her
I watched him and her ignorance
I watched him be there for her
and I watched his alterior motive
I watched her blindly follow him
I watched her as he held her
I watched her with tears in her eyes
I watched her feel hope
and I watched him feel accomplished
I watched him walk away
I watched her slowly realize what happened
I watched her run after him down that road
I watched him slip on his earphones
and turn the volume up
I watched myself do all these things
and then I woke up
I watched you hurt me
but I will be sure to never watch that again
