Who I Am
Who I Am
I am sleeping in between the pages of a book
I am the stones you wander over, oblivious
I am memories of places I have been
I am water flowing silently toward the ocean
I am tiny tangles in silky black hair
I am grey clouds on a summer day
I am green specks in your puppy brown eyes
I am the bitter tears, crusty on the child’s sandy cheek
I am remembering the sensation of cool rain on my upturned face
I am rain trying to seep through the cracks in the roof
I am airborne, dancing with the autumn leaves, unsure of my home
