Fight Like a Girl
Insult: “you fight like a girl”
you’re not an athlete you’re a girl!
You’re not a fighter, you’re a girl!
Insult?
Be polite, be agreeable, and be appealing to the eye.
Keep quiet and listen, tell the truth, never lie.
You are weak, you are second, you are never going to be the best.
You’re emotional, must be that time of the month, you’re the same as the rest.
No I won’t be agreeable I’ll be just the opposite because I can.
I will never be silenced I’ll be louder then any man!
Because I fought to be where I am today.
I am strong, I am first, I can be rude! “Screw you!” “Good day”
That's right it’s my time of the month watch out move aside!
A pair of high heels and few push-up bras later I’ll spend my week having cried.
For every girl who feels the need to be heard there is a boy who wishes he could be quiet.
For every boy who wants to sit this fight out there is a girl who feels the need to start a riot.
For every girl who wants to be a warrior and compete, there is a boy who wants to keep peace and settle for defeat.
For every girl who tries to throw away her Barbie, there is a boy out there hoping to find it.
For every girl who can not achieve the media’s perception of the perfect, there’s a boy who’s tired of working out and wants to quit.
For every girl who thinks “I wont let them see me cry” there is a boy who longs to weep.
What they want is peace of mind and comfort in their own skin is what they seek.
I’ll fight like a girl against limitations.
I’ll fight like a girl to exceed expectations.
I am a girl strong, full of might.
I am a girl and that’s how I will fight!
