Reflection
Glancing forward with a scowl upon her face, she is mad
Not only at her self, but for being d***ed with such unearthly features
The one above has cursed her and only her
Sorrow? Depression? Loneliness? Her head hangs low
The true meaning for her being here is lost
Like a diamond in the rough
Its true beauty being concealed by darkness.
Brown and grey orbs stare intensively back at her,
Her skin as black as the night’s sky, though it doesn’t shine bright like the stars
She gazes at every night.
Hopelessly and lost she goes away, and away from her reflection
Her tears sprinkle out of her eyes like crystal pieces slamming into the
Concrete.
She does not see the truth
But only see’s what she wants to see
Hanging her head down low, cursing,
How could they make her an abomination to the eyes of others?
The earth rocks with her every step,
So she thinks. Vibrations being carried from their lips to her ears.
A menace?
No.
She had had enough, torn between herself and the world she
Lived in, and soon came to hate.
Stopping, only once till she reached her destination.
The water below her did not seem so far away.
One step, two step, leap.
Plunging her body back into the element of life.
The last thing she saw, after jumping off the red
Rusted bridge ?
Her self,
before she came crashing down
her eyes held no emotion, and her body felt as weightless as the air
finally,
smiling,
knowing that her suffering has come to an end.
And with her last breath she closed her eyes,
Afraid to look at her reflection and longer
She was swallowed by Poseidon him.
Promised that things will be better in her next life.
