Like A Mirror

The delicate glass,
Smooth and placid
Like the act
I put on, day in and day out
Like a mirror,
I mimic those around me
Blending myself in,
Yet, no matter how hard I try
I continue to stand out
I reflect what they want to see
I reflect how they want me to act
I am basically reflecting them back
I have lost myself inside of this sea
Where girls act a certain way
And guys are all football jocks
Like a mirror,
I reflect back the lives of those around me,
No matter how pathetic.
