Silent Night
The night before Christmas and
I wish Santa Clause was real
Not for the presents
Not for the mystery
Not for the excitement
When he shoots down the chimney
I'll be waiting with peace
He'll look around for cookies
He'll look around for milk
He'll look around for a tree
I'll explain to him I don't want his material things
Tell him what we all really need
We need love
We need food
We need harmony please
"Santa please!?" I'll plead
Just like a child would
We need joy
We need clean
We need water please
Santa will scratch his bald head
Sit down and ponder what I've said
What you need
What you need is
What you need is impossible
He'll pat my head
Get up to leave
Just like my family did
Just like my teachers did
Just like my country did
