Warmth
I've my had in the clouds
My heart in a box
Looking for reason and rhyme
In a world where nothing seems
To be clear.
I wiped the clouds away
One upon a starry dream
And saw the Sun
He was looking away
But I felt the rays
And fell in love.
His back was turned
And I ran closer,
The cold I left behind
I feared, and I tried
To touch the Sun.
A greater fear set inside
My heart:
Rejection.
Would the Sun
Love me too?
Or was I trying
To warm myself in vain?
I suppose I'll never know.
