A tribute
I’ve probably seen him
A hundred times
Yet I don’t know
What he looks like
I don’t know what color
His eyes were,
But I’m sure they
Twinkled when he laughed
Or scrunched together
Or maybe he looked down
From being too shy
They tell me he was an
Athlete
I hope he loved what he did
Loved the breath
Pounding through his veins
Because in one night
His breath left
And now I will never
Know him
